Ferocious Dog have emerged as a prominent figure in the music world, renowned for their dynamic and authentic folk-punk sound that echoes the essence of Nottinghamshire. Having established themselves as much more than a conventional band, Ferocious Dog serve as a powerful voice for stories that are often untold or overlooked, embodying a spirit of resilience and insight. The journey began in 2011 with their debut single Ferocious Dog, laying the foundation for a diverse and profound discography. Their first album in 2013 showcased their dedication to storytelling, a hallmark of their musical identity. Projects like Ferocious Dog 3 Piece Acoustic (2014) and the acoustic version of From Without (2017) highlighted their ability to strip back their music while retaining its impactful message.

In 2015 Ferocious Dog became the first independent act to sell out Nottingham’s Rock City venue. Their albums From Without (2015) and Red (2017) solidified their status in the folk-punk genre, blending poignant lyrics with engaging melodies. Their 2019 album “Fake News & Propaganda” ventured into introspective and critical territory, reflecting on complex societal themes.

The Hope (2021) marked a significant milestone, highlighting the band’s expanding audience and the wide-reaching appeal of their music with its chart success, debuting at Number 1 on the Official UK & Ireland Folk Album Charts and entered the National Album Charts at Number 31.

Their latest album Kleptocracy came out May 2024 and delves into themes of societal injustices and the enduring struggle against exploitation, echoing the band’s commitment to shedding light on the issues plaguing Broken Britain and our world today.
